November 2025 Regular Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, December 8, 2025
The REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING for the Town of Springfield was called to order by Barry Ketchum at 6:33 p.m. PRESENT: Chair Barry Ketchem, Supervisors: Warren Benson & James Mahoney, Clerk/Treasurer Rachael Hawkins, Mark Erickson, Lester Miller
A motion was made by Warren & 2nd by Jim to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Correspondence received or forwarded: None
Public comments on issues: None
A motion was made by Barry & 2nd by Jim to approve the November Elector minutes as presented. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jim & 2nd by Warren to approve the November Monthly minutes as presented. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Jim & 2nd by Warren to approve the November 19 Special minutes as presented. Motion carried.
The November financial report was presented. A motion was made by Warren & 2nd by Jim to approve the financial report. Motion caried
A motion was made by Warren and 2nd by Jim to approve the bills to be paid in December at a total of $14,101.74. Motion carried.
Department Reports:
Maintenance: Plowing is going well and garbage day Dec. 6 was very busy
Clerk-Treasurer: Fire sign and culverts were paid for, we received the credit from the county for the culvert end, the credit will be applied to a brushing invoice.
Chairman’s report: Continued issues with dogs on Rustic Road 3.
There will be a meeting with the county on building permits for some townships.
OLD BUSINESS
Oakwood Cemetery:
Nothing new, future brush removal will be needed
Animal Control: Dog registration will be coming due
Brushing: There are some roads to be finished
Dead tree removal from town ditches: Working on the last mile of tree removal
Animal Waste Ordinance: A motion was made by Warren and 2nd by Jim to table until January meeting.
Continued Fence Issue: Viewed fence Nov 19 – waiting to hear from both parties for any further action.
NEW BUSINESS
Election Inspector Appointments for 2026-2027: A motion was made by Barry and 2nd by Warren to approve the list of Election Inspectors for 2026-2027. Motion Carried. Election Inspectors, Appointments are Amy Dopkins – Republican, Diane Brandt – Democratic, Frances Kromery, Keri Mahoney, Katheryn Timm, Evelyn Pickerign, Angela Bloom, Nichole Richardson, David Faber.
Adjournment: Warren made a motion to adjourn at 7:20pm. Jim seconded. Motion carried.
