June 2025 Regular Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, June 9, 2025

The REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING for the Town of Springfield was called to order by Dean Fayerweather at 6:30 p.m. PRESENT: Chair Dean Fayerweather, Supervisors: Barry Ketchum & James Mahoney, Clerk/Treasurer Sheri Erickson, Mark Erickson, Mitch Weyer and Lisa Knutson.

A motion was made by Barry & 2nd by Dean to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Dean & 2nd by Jim to approve the May Regular Monthly minutes as presented.  Motion carried.

The May financial report was presented.  A motion was made by Barry & 2nd by Jim to approve the report as presented.  Motion carried.

A motion was made by Jim & 2nd by Barry to approve the bills to be paid in June at a total of $72,459.16.  Motion carried.

Clerk Report:
Sheri provided the building permit report and stated that she emailed the board the auditor’s reports.

Conditional Use Application – Mitchell Weyer:
A motion was made by Dean & 2nd by Jim to approve the conditional use application for Mitchell Weyer.  Motion carried.

Oakwood Cemetery Discussion:
Dean made a motion to allow Angie Perry’s dog cremains buried in the plot when the dog dies. Jim seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Liquor Licenses:
Dean made a motion to accept all operator licenses for: Ella Holden, Jackson Dalluhn, Savannah Pearson-Dalluhn, Holland Klink, Chrissa Kersten, Brock Saniter, Jennifer Nickowski, Deborah Hoy, Kellie Rademaker and Abigail Nilssen. Barry seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Dean made a motion to approve the Class B Beer and Class B Liquor licenses for Glen Hills Golf Club Inc. and Peg’s Pleasant View Inn LLC. Jim seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Clerk-Treasurer Discussion:
Dates for interviews will be set up this month.

Maintenance/Recycling/Cemetery Report:
Dumpsters were full after Saturday.
Board will get quotes to reset some of the cemetery stones.

Chairman Report:
Dean stated complaints about dumpster in road right of way. Letters need to be sent out about the issues.

Public Input:
Comment made expressing appreciation of the good upkeep of the cemetery.

 

Meeting Adjourned at 7:22 pm.

Chairman Dean Fayerweather turned in his resignation effective 7/14/25.
