A SPECIAL MEETING for the Town of Springfield was called to order by Dean Fayerweather at 6:33 p.m. PRESENT: Chair: Dean Fayerweather, Supervisors: Barry Ketchum & James Mahoney, Clerk/Treasurer Sheri Erickson, Mark Erickson, Linda Kuhn and Mike Snyder.
A motion was made by Barry & 2nd by Jim to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Oakwood Cemetery Update:
Keys turned over to Mark. Mike Snyder renewed a cemetery CD for 6 months. Mike reported the current fees are $200 per plot and a $50 burial fee. Need a lawyer to get the funds transferred to the township. The township will need to get the records from Mike.
Linda Kuhn had questions on plots and upcoming burial.
Liquor Licenses:
A motion was made by Dean & 2nd by Jim to approve liquor license for Peg’s Pleasant View. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Dean & 2nd by Jim to approve operator licenses. Motion carried.
Recycling Cost Discussion:
Sheri found the estimated bags per 8 yard dumpster and calculated the cost to be $1.56/33 gallon bag if dumpster was completely full.
Survey questions were discussed. Sheri presented a draft copy of the survey. Dean will work with Sheri to finalize the survey so that it will be ready for Saturday’s garbage day.
