Notice of Revaluation
Town of Springfield
A revaluation of property assessments in the Town of Springfield shall occur for the 2025 assessment year as required by state law. Wisconsin laws require periodic market updates to keep assessment levels at or very near actual market values.
To ensure that an accurate revaluation is performed, it will be necessary for the assessment staff to conduct an on-site exterior review of all homes and commercial buildings within the town.
The revaluation will establish new assessed values in an equitable fashion for all properties in the town at 100% of market value. The revaluation will be done by Tamarack Springs Assessing and will be completed by the fall of 2025 and all property owners will receive a written notice of assessment at that time.
Please also note that the Assessor has certain statutory authority to enter land as described in Wis. Stat. §§ 943.13 and 943.15 subject to several qualifications and limitations, as described within the foregoing statutes.
