Board of Review Minutes
Wednesday, June 5, 2024
Present were Chairman Dean Fayerweather, Supervisors James Mahoney and Barry Ketchum, Assessor Natalie DeLeasky, and Clerk/Treasurer Sheri Erickson
The board of review was called to order by Dean at 6:00 pm.
Confirmation of appropriate Board of Review and Open Book notices.
Sheri confirmed that the notice for Open Book was posted on May 3, 2024, and notice for Board of Review was posted on May 9, 2024.
Select a Chairperson for the Board of Review.
A motion made by Barry to nominate Dean as chair. Seconded by Jim. Motion carried.
Select a Vice-Chairperson for Board of Review.
A motion made by Jim to nominate Barry as Vice-chair. Seconded by Dean. Motion carried.
Verify that a member has met the mandatory training requirements.
Sheri confirmed that Dean attended an approved BOR training on 3/29/24.
Verify that the Town has an ordinance for the confidentiality of income and expense information provided to the assessor under state law (Wis. Stat. 70.47(7)(af).
Updated ordinance 22-002 is on file.
Receive the Assessment Roll.
Sheri received the roll from Natalie.
Review and certify the Assessment Roll.
Board members reviewed the assessment roll.
Verify with the assessor that open book changes are included.
Natalie confirmed that there were no open book changes. Other changes since tax roll was printed are marked in red.
Review and schedule hearings on any Intent to File Objections.
No hearings were requested.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm by Dean.
